ACCESS Funding Withdrawn
Following the decision by South Ayrshire Council to withdraw funding from employability projects in Maybole, ACCESS is now closed. Thes means that clients will no longer be able to gain assistance with any of the services provided by the project in Maybole. Anyone who needs help in applying for a job, preparing for an interview, updating their CV, etc, should contact their personal adviser at their local Employment Service office in the first instance.
Maybole Women's group...
...are a group who get together every Thursday at 12.45 to 2.45 and join
in activities such as: Flower arranging, reflexology, swimming and we invite
various speakers to come along.
Our latest activity was creating a booklet called "Through the years"
about memories of living in years gone by and what it was like to be back
in that time. Using recording equipment the group went out and interviewed
participants to gather information and quotes.
Some of the recipes gathered were cooked by the group. All the group enjoyed
gathering the information and speaking to those who remembered the memories
and really found it very interesting.
These free booklets are available at ACCESS, 48/50 High Street, Maybole.
Goodbye Andy
Unfortunately the funding has come to an end for one part of the Access project, which means that Andy Crawford has left us. We wish him luck for the future, and hope he enjoys his travels!
Maybole Women's Group Restarts at Access
We are a local group of women who come together every Thursday for a few hours to take part in different activities and discussions ranging from cooking and reflexology to quad biking and parenting issues.
This year we are planning to do more cookery, craft activities, aerobics and have visits from invited speakers on a range of topics.
The group is free to join, so why not come along. A free creche is available.
